Let’s Work Together

Do you want to be part of a team that's changing the way therapy is experienced? At STEPS Therapies, we're dedicated to a mission that serves not only our clients but also our team. We believe a strong foundation for our team leads to an amazing experience for the children and families we serve in Okinawa's English-speaking and American military communities.

We're looking for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists to join our vibrant team.

🧩 About the Role

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at STEPS, you'll provide comprehensive, client-centered services for a diverse pediatric caseload. You'll work with children and adolescents to address a variety of communication and feeding needs. We encourage our therapists to be creative to work on functional communication goals.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Providing comprehensive therapy through one-on-one sessions.

  • Conducting assessments and delivering therapy for a wide range of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and articulation/phonological disorders.

  • Communicating clearly about assessment outcomes, functional implications, and progress with families.

  • Participating in community outreach with the option to work as a mobile therapist.

  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team of therapists to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.

✅ Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a reliable, ethical, and highly motivated professional with a passion for working with children. To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Master's in Speech Pathology or an equivalent degree.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with a pediatric caseload.

  • Registration with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or a recognized international equivalent, such as Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).

  • A high degree of flexibility and cultural sensitivity, essential for thriving in an international environment.

  • Current and valid professional liability insurance.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.

  • A proven track record of ethical and professional conduct.

  • The ability to build rapport with children and their families, communicating with honesty and kindness.

  • Experience or interest in working with military families is a plus.
